Type of business in which you are involved

Super hard material production
The Science and Technology Diamond Concern ALCON is one of the largest scientific and technological European centers on material science. The leading organization of the concern is V.N. Bakul Institute for Super hard Materials NAS of Ukraine. The fundamental scientific researches of physical and chemical processes of mono and polycrystalline, disperse and film diamond and diamond-like materials creation and growth in the wide temperature and pressure range are carried out in the Institute; the methods of spontaneous and directed controlled synthesis of super hard materials are being developed.
Different tools equipped with superhard materials are manufacturing by the developments of researchers. These tools are effectively used in different industrial and agricultural branches at machining of metallic materials, natural stones, wood, at prospecting and production drilling for oil and gas. The powders and tools from superhard materials are widely exported to different countries including Japan, Great Britain, USA, Germany and Russia.

Specific offer to American companies

  1. Synthetic diamond and CBN grits of selected varieties (elite grits). Elite powders from diamond and CBN commercial grades of powders. The process allows the production of elite powders of the most profitable grades and grit sizes which offer a higher uniformity with respect to quality parameters.
  2. Technology machining of precision balls from structural ceramics and cemented carbides. Balls on the base of efficient ceramic-composite materials having unique wear resistance, high hardness and adequate strength to be used under the conditions of the action of corrosive media and abrasives at high pressures (10-60 MPa)
  3. Diamond tools and technology machining nonmetallic materials. Development of the diamond tools and technology machining nonmetallic materials (granite, marble, glass, ceramics, etc.). Grinding and polishing tools 50, 100, 250, 320, 450, 500 and 600 mm. in diameter, whose working layer is built-up of diamond bearing elements (pellet, stick, sector).
  4. CBN cutting insets and technology machining metallic materials. CBN inserts for cutting tool. They show the highest efficiency when machining large-sized pieces of iron and hardened steels with a large depth of cut as well as when roughing, semiroughing and finishing hardfaced and sprayed coatings, semifinishing and finishing hardened carbon and high-alloy steels, heat-treated high-strength and stainless steels.
  5. Diamond tools on polymer and ceramic bonds and technology grinding materials. Diamond tools on polymer and ceramic bonds for grinding, polishing, lapping, honing, superfinishing and precision cutting of hard-to-machine materials. Diamond tools may be produced a wide range of sizes by energy and metal saving technologies which provides high cutting and polishing ability and competition ability on the world market.
