Works at the Paton Institute since 1969 after his graduation from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. In 1969-1993 carried out R&D on thermo physics of electroslag remelting and casting processes with focusing on new casting technologies development.
In 991-1992 worked for Shasta-Paton J.V., Pittsburgh, USA.
Since 1994 till 1998 Deputy Director of the International Center for Electron Beam Technologies (ICEBT) of E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute, Kyiv, Ukraine. Research & Development management, international relations, finances. In 1994 - 1996 General Manager of a Joint Research Center "Pratt&Whitney-Paton", Kyiv, Ukraine.
Since 1998 till present Deputy Director General of the Scientific and Technical Complex E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute. Board member of the Joint Venture "Pratt&Whitney-Paton". Vice-president of the Technopark "E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute". Doctor of Technical Sciences (focus on electrometallurgy).
Research activities at present deal with the processes of plasma processing of the materials as well as plasma coating deposition. Initiator and leader of works on water plasma destruction of hazardous wastes. Author of over 150 scientific publications and patents in above mentioned fields.

The E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute (PEWI) is a multidisciplinary research institute, which realizes fundamental and applied research works, develops technologies, materials, equipment and control systems, rational welded structures and weldments, methods and equipment for diagnostics and non-destructive quality control, special electrometallurgy, coating and surface engineering. PEWI has highly qualified research staff including 70 Doctors of Technical Sciences and 250 Candidates of Technical Sciences. The Institute departments and laboratories are equipped with up-to-date research and measuring-analytical equipment. PEWI is a corporative member of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and European Welding Federation (EWF). It is a head organization of the Scientific-Technical Complex "The E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute" of NAS (National Academy of Sciences) of Ukraine (STC PWI). It incorporates the Design Technical Bureau, high technologies Engineering Centers, explosion welding and treatment pilot workshops, and also a powerful production facility represented by three pilot plants manufacturing welding equipment, consumables, and using new technologies capable to design, manufacture and deliver pilot samples and batches of specialized equipment, welding and filler materials, welded structures and weldments.
