Establishing and successful functioning of the banking system of Ukraine as well as joining of the domestic financial and credit institutions the world business society depends greatly on the skills and experience of the bankers of the country.
Viktor V. Kapustin is one of the Ukrainian prominent specialists in finance and banking.
He was born in Kyiv on April 7, 1958.
In 1980 he graduated successfully from the Kyiv National T.Shevchenko University (speciality: international economics) and in 1986 he graduated from the Kyiv Institute of National Economy (speciality: finance and credit).
From 1980 through 1991 worked in the banking system of Ukraine (the State Bank of the USSR, Ukrzhytlosotsbank, Ukrainian Bank of Zovnisheconombank of USSR).
In February 1992 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Export Æ Import Bank of Ukraine. On the initiative of Mr. V.Kapustin the first operations under the correspondent accounts with foreign banks were performed, the loan agreements with German, French, Italian banks and financial institutions were signed and the first credit facilities were opened.
In July 1997 he became the President of the Ukrainian Fund for Development and in July 1998 Mr. V. Kapustin was appointed to the position of the Deputy Head of the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship.
Since April 1999 he was the Head of the Supervisory Council of the Ukrainian Bank for Regional Development and Reconstruction.
In 2002 he was elected the Member of the Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) and became the First Deputy Head of the Committee on Finance and Banking.
In March the Supervisory Council of JSC Ukreximbank elected him Chairman of the Board.
